Flax fiber – one of the strongest plant fibers. The tensile strength of linen yarn is 2 times higher than that of cotton and 3 times higher than that of wool.
The length of the long fiber ranges from 45 to 80 cm.
Application
Flax fiber is used to produce high-number yarn by wet spinning, which is used for the production of fabrics: table linen, tarpaulin, awnings and suits.

Fiber quality is determined by the strength and linear density of yarn that can be made from it. And this, in turn, depends on a number of fiber properties that determine its spinning ability. The main ones are strength, fineness and flexibility (softness).

Fiber strength is the most important indicator of its quality.
Tonina
The finer the fiber, the finer the yarn can be made from it and the stronger it will be.
Flexibility
The flexibility of the fiber determines its spinning ability: flexible, soft fiber, unlike hard fiber, when processed, easily lends itself to numerous bends and torsion without losing strength. Products made from flexible fiber are more durable than those made from rigid fiber.
